Obituary of Al Smith Albion: Al Smith age 83, passed away July 28, 2017 at Highland Hospital. He was born October 8, 1933 in Albion, a son of the late Waldo and Clarissa (Osborne) Smith. Al and his late brother Ernie, owned and operated S&S Muckland Produce for many years. He was a member of B.P.O. Elks Albion Lodge #1006. He enjoyed playing golf and getting together with his friends to play cards. Al will be remembered for watching the Stock Market and investing, but most importantly he loved spending time with his wife Marcia and his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Marcia C. (Suhr) Smith; brother, Ernie Smith and sister, Ruth Seline, brothers-in-law John Suhr and Marc Clark. Al is survived by his children, Karen (Doug) Kirby, Kimberly Piccirilli, Kelly (Wayne) Wadhams and Kyle (Shelly) Smith, all of Albion; grandchildren, Brandon, Emily and Mitchell Kirby, Kyle (Alana) Piccirilli, Kari (Jimmy) Zeliff, Karli (Matt) Gibbs, Kendall Piccirilli, Kelsey and Ben Wadhams, Garrett and Gretta Smith; great-grandchildren, Corbin and Alexander Piccirilli, Emma, Ella and Evelyn Zeliff; brother, Bill Smith of FL. and sisters-in-law, Shirley Smith, Nancy Clark and Mary Rheinwald; brothers-in-law, Gerry (Judy) Suhr and David (Sally) Suhr, several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave, Albion, on Wednesday August 2, from 3:30-5:30, followed by Al’s Memorial Service at 5:30.
