Obituary of Albert H. Monacelli (Florida/Albion)
Albert H. Monacelli, age 96, passed away February 23, 2007 in Jupiter, FL. He was born in Albion June 15, 1910 the son of Horace and Hyacinth Monacelli. He was a graduate of Albion High School, Notre Dame University in 1934 and Georgetown University in 1937. Albert was a Captain in the US Army during WWI and was the recipient of The Bronze Star. He then became a partner in the law firm of Dunnington, Bartholow and Miller in New York City. He was President of the Notre Dame Law Association for two years and also Chairman of a Nationwide Committee to aid State and local government in their future financing, particularly to combat high and increasing costs of municipal borrowing by attracting financial institutional investors and thus broadening the market. Albert retired in 1969 and lived in Florida.
