Obituary of Alice Brown Hennebohl Alice M. Hennebohl, age 88, of Gasport, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Absolut of Gasport. Born December 24, 1929 in North East, PA, Alice is the daughter of the late: Charles and Bertha (Post) Himelein. Alice was married to Cecil Brown in 1947. Mr. Brown died July 31, 1964. She married Donald Hennebohl in 1966. Mr. Hennebohl died January 5, 2001. Alice worked at Harrison Radiator She loved spending time with her family and was a great prayer warrior. She enjoyed raising cocker spaniels, crocheting and quilting. Surviving Alice are her children: Sheila (Ken) Smith, Kathy (Dan) Jenks, Pamela (Richard) Heitzenrater, Benjamin (Lori) Brown, Coley (Amy) Brown, Joanne (Eugene) Lorenzetti, and Lanay (Scott) Dettbarn. Alice was predeceased by a daughter, Charlene Brown. Also survived by 29 grandchildren, 60 plus great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Alice was loved by so many people, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved children of all ages, whether related to her or she babysat them or just met them on the journey through life. She was known for keeping all the kids busy – when she had a pool if the kids rode their bikes to swim (and visit) she gave them chores to do before swimming. She was famous for her lists of things for the kids (and adult kids) to do. She had them help with the cocker spaniels , chickens, rabbits or whatever else she could find for them to do. She taught the kids responsibility and also to crochet, quilt, play cards (especially euchre) and embroidery. She was always busy and willing to teach. She especially cherished time teaching her family to quilt, crochet, embroider and play cards. She was challenging euchre player. Alice was a firm believer in God and kept a detailed prayer journal. She enjoyed reading especially the Bible and was a prayer warrior for many years. She was proud of her family and her faith. She created a legacy for her family and friends that will last through eternity. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Hess Road Wesleyan Church 2514 Hess Road Appleton, NY, on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 11 am until 1 pm. Funeral Services will be held on immediately following at 1 pm with burial in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to: St. Jude's or Tri Town Ambulance.
