Obituary of Alice Mae Sills Medina-
Alice Mae Sills "Sue"(Strickland), 90, formerly of Rochester passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home. She was born in the Town of Gaines, the daughter of George and Phoebe Strickland, and had lived in Orleans County for many years before moving to Rochester. She was a member of the Carlton United Methodist Church and enjoyed being with family and friends. She is survived by 2 children, William (Brenda) Sills of Medina, Christine (Edward) Walczak Sr. of Albion; Grandchildren, Laura Sills-Merkl (Billy) , Steven Sills of Medina, Barbara (Mark) Parker of Albion, Edward (Crysta) Walczak Jr of Medina; 5 Great Grandchildren; Brother Ivan Strickland of Kenyonville; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Arthur, Lloydk,Jack, and Keith Strickland; Great Grandson Brandon Parker.
There will be no prior calling hours. A celebration of Sue's life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11am at the Carlton United Methodist Church, with Pastor Phillips officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans. An online guestbook is available at www.merrillgrinnell.com
