Obituary of Angeline M. Sedita (Albion/Mt. Vernon, IL) Angeline (Angie) DiRoseSedita, age 90 of Ingersoll Street, Albion, died12/22/17 at Greentree Assisted Living in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, where she has resided for the last seven years.She was born in Batavia on September 17, 1927 to Angelo and Rachel (Mancini)DiRose. She married Carl Sedita on September 17, 1949 and they lived most of theirmarried life, 59 yearsin Albion. He predeceased her April 30, 2010. Angie was a housewife and raised three children, Paul, who resides in Batavia, Joe (Noel), who resides in Holley and Joanne (David)Sedita Keen, who resides in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. In addition, she has two Granddaughters, Michelle Keen Wood and Amy Keen Orrill and is the Great-Grand Motherof Alexis Wood, Jacob Wood, Josiah Orrill and Kaylie Orrill. Angie came from a big family with nine silbings. All have predeceased her; except Dick DiRose of Tampa, Florida and Bobby Di Rose of Buffalo.She has three living Sister-in-Laws, Joan Di Rose,Rose Gifaldi and Carm Sedita,along with many Nieces and Nephews. Angie loved to cook and was especially known for her awesome lasagna. Her cooking tradition continues, as her Daughter makes her mother'slasagna recipefor her family at Christmas time. Family and Friends are invited to meet at Holy Family Parish- St. Joseph's Church on January 4, 2018 at 10:00am for Angie's Mass. Interment will follow at St.Joseph's Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greentree Assisted Living, 208 Zachery Dr., Mt. Vernon, Illinois, 62864, where a special RemembranceMemorial will be presented to the Staff for the excellent quality care Angie has received over the last 7 years.
