September 23, 1953-June 16, 2012 Ann Cain, age 58, of 2087 Lonnon Road, Barker, New York passed away on June 16, 2012. Ann was well known for her generous heart. There was nothing in the world that Ann wouldn't do for you. She wasn't wealthy, but she was rich in spirit. She chose to live her life through her heart.
Ann Cain was born on September 23, 1953 in Medina., NY She was the daughter of the late Doris (Read) and Roy Rutherford. Ann was one of 13 brothers and sisters.
Ann's strong spirit carried her through her eight-year battle with cancer. Her fight ended on June 16, 2012. She passed away surrounded by her loving family and dear friends. Her home always served as a gathering place.
Ann was married to her childhood sweetheart. Her husband David R. Cain Sr. survives her. They were married for 42 years. Dave and Ann were married on February 19, 1970. Together they have four children. Her two sons, David Cain Jr., Christopher Cain and her two daughters, Renee (Michael) Garrett and Jennifer Cain (Brian Fitzgerald) will deeply miss their mother.
She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Erin, Austin, Destinee, Cole, Ashton, Samantha, Michelle and Courtney and one great grandchild Riley. Her grandchildren were always near and dear to her heart. Her brothers and sisters, Evelyn Carpenter of Barker, Roy "Chip" Rutherford of Lockport, Margaret (George) Davis of Lockport, the late John L. Rutherford, Paul Rutherford of Barker, Judy (John) Willis of Middleport, Gail Farina of Barker, Susannah Homesberger of Lockport, Wanda Wolfe of Lockport, Glenn Rutherford of Barker, Kirk (Janeen) Rutherford of Lockport, Scott Rutherford of Niagara Falls. Ann truly enjoyed being with family
After staying home to raise her children, Ann joined the workforce. She worked in a a plastics factory for over 30 years. She began as a line worker at Ferree Plastics. She moved her way up through the plant where she became a forewoman. Then she joined Milne Manufacturing in Gasport NY., where she became the Plant Manager. She was a dedicated and hard working employee. She had such a strong sense of loyalty to Milne Manufacturing.
There will be no prior visitation.
Funeral Services will be held at the Hartland Bible Church, 8110 West Avenue., Gasport, NY on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Jonathon Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville, NY.

A life well lived. Remember to always do what you feel you must, and can. And feel as if you can do anything. Because you can.
