Obituary of Ann B. Fladd (ROCHESTER)
Fladd, Ann Marilla Barner(born Jennie Marilla Thistle)died Thursday 1/26/2017…one day shy of her 93rd birthday. Ann’s spirit will live on in the memories of her four children: Donna(Edwin)Smith of Fairport, Frederick(Leslie)Fladd of Ithaca, David(Ann)Fladd of Macedon, Steve Fladd of Brighton, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. After her retirement from a satisfying career at Rochester General Hospital, Ann spent many happy hours helping others through her volunteer work with the Rochester area Red Cross and the American Heart Association. The author, Eudora Welty said, “…life whatever it is for each of us, will in the end be the memories of the little personal everyday things…” On a warm Spring day, Ann will be buried at East Lawn Cemetery in Ithaca with her husband Wesley Arthur Fladd and other family members she held dear.
