Obituary of Ann C. Nelson (ALBION) Ann C. Nelson, age 90, died May 20, 2019 in Unity Hospital following a long illness. She was born August 27, 1928 in Albion to David and Dorothy (Ollswang) Cooper and was a life-long resident of this area. Ann worked as a substitute teacher and tutor for several years. She enjoyed swimming, reading, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune on TV, and loved to be outside, especially sitting on her deck in the sun or on the beach by the ocean. Her greatest joy however, was having her family around and watching them swim and interact with each other. Mrs. Nelson was predeceased by her husbands: Thomas R. Taylor, Paul Rehn Nelson, her son: David G. Taylor, and her infant brother: Robert G. Cooper. She is survived by her daughters: Dorothy (Joseph) Distefano of Rochester, Jan (Grant) Downey of Albion, step-son: Rehn (Pat) Nelson, her brother: Richard (Mary Jo) Cooper of Florida, her grandchildren: Tom and David Taylor, Sam, Jack and Joey Distefano, Tom and Anne Downey, Jessica (Rick) Townsend,Christopher Nelson, KirstenToben, her great grandchildren: Carson, Ella, Maddox, Rylan, and Lincoln as well as 1 niece and 1 nephew. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Avenue-Albion, WEDNESDAY May 29th from 11-12 where her Funeral Service will be held immediately following visitation at 12 Noon.
