Obituary of Anthony Albanese Sr. Anthony R. Albanese Sr. of Albion died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the age of 94. He was born March 1, 1918, the son of the late Serafino and Maria (Gullace) Albanese.
A graduate of Albion High School he was a lifelong resident of Albion and a WWII veteran. He ran several family businesses, including the Orleans Hotel, Albanese Bros. Greenhouses and farms. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish, Knights of Columbus #1330 , the Elks, the American Legion, VFW, and the Cobblestone Society. He was the husband of the late Eleanor (Jablonski) Albanese and was predeceased by his siblings, Dominic, Frank, Sarah Nochelski, Teresa Tripolilli, Angelina Lux, Helen Manzella and Margaret Benham.
He is survived by his loving companion Joan Thomason of Albion, his sister Rose Bridwell of Lockport. His children Robert (Jan) Albanese and Anthony Albanese, Jr. of Albion, Michael (Susie Steiner) Albanese and Maria (Vernon) Spicer of Tampa, Florida. Five grandchildren Eric Albanese of San Fran, Calf., Brian Albanese of Albion, and Chrissie (Scott) Ladd, Andrea Albanese, Nicholas Spicer of Tampa, Florida. Along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Orleans Community Health Foundation, designated to the Stroke Center, 200 Ohio Street, Medina, NY 14103 or to a charity of your choice. Visitation

A mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11th at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Albion, NY with full military honors. Interment
