Anthony R. Kane

Obituary of Anthony R. Kane (Lockport) Anthony R. Kane, Jr., age 79 died August 5, 2019 in the Beechwood Homes following a brief illness. He was born February 1, 1940 in Lackawanna to Anthony and Mary (McMahon) Kane Sr., and had lived in the Western New York area his entire life. Tony was a member of All Saints R.C. Church in Lockport, and a member of the Grand Island Rod and Gun Club. He loved puttering in his workshop, skeet shooting, reading, camping as well as watching old John Wayne Westerns and listening to Johnny Cash. In addition, Tony enjoyed spending time on the computer playing Farmville and Poker. His greatest joy however, was spending time with his family. Mr. Kane was predeceased by his wife Phyllis. He is survived by his daughters: Jill Durbin of Lockport, Melinda (Robert) Fogg of AL, his brother: Dennis Kane of Lackawanna, sister: Margaret (Jack) Smart of CA, grandchildren: Jeffery Durbin of Lockport, Marissa Fogg of AL, several nieces and nephews and his beloved cats: Frick and Frack. The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St.-Gasport, THURSDAY from 5-8. Family and friends are invited to attend Tony’s Mass of Christian Burial FRIDAY 10 a.m. in All Saints R.C. Church, 76 Church St. Lockport. Interment will follow in Lancaster Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Beechwood/Blocher Foundation for the Living Care Fund, 2235 Millersport Hwy, Getzville, NY, 14068 or Buffalo Hospice, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
