Arlene E. Smith

Wilson: Arlene E. Smith, age 95, passed away April 26, 2022. She was born November 19, 1926 in the Town of Yates to the late William and Ida (Thiel) Seeloff.

Arlene was a former member of The Golden Agers. She loved to dance, garden, can fruits and vegetables and take care of her family. Arlene loved her family tremendously, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband LeRoy, grandson, Jesse Edwards, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Arlene is survived by her children, Mark (Maryanne) Smith, Sharon (Daniel) Edwards, Carol (Ronald Crego) Phillips, grandchildren, Russell (Kristy) Smith, Shawn Phillips, Shannon (Chris) Mielcarski, Danielle (David) Winker, great-grandchildren, Ella, Andrew, Abigail as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Newfane, 6047 East Ave. Newfane, NY 14108 on Thursday, May 5th from 4:00-7:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Arlene’s name may be made to the Wilson Fire Co. 250 Young Street Wilson, NY 14172.

Arlene’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, Gasport, NY.
