Asmundur Sveinsson

Obituary of Asmundur Sveinsson Albion: Asmundur “ ´Asi ” Sveinsson, age 60, passed away at his home under hospice care surrounded by his loving family on April 23, 2018. He was born March 19, 1958 in Reykjavik, Iceland to the late Svein Ragnar Asmundsson and Gudrun Lilja Dagnysdottir and would move to the U.S. in 1978 to attend college at the University of Buffalo. ´Asi worked for 33 years as an architect for the University of Buffalo. He spent time coaching youth soccer teams, playing soccer and golf. Together with his wife Ann, they enjoyed campfires and star gazing. He spoiled his family whenever he could and was a good natured man with high morals and a big, loving heart. ´Asi is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Ann Hubner, daughters, Michele Hubner (Patrick Conley) Sveinsson, Corey Hubner Sveinsson, mother-in-law, Ruth Hubner, grandsons, Owen and Gavin Conley, several sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Saturday, April 28th from 10:00-12:00pm where his funeral service will be held immediately following at 12:00pm. Interment will be held in Kenyonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O. Box 489 Albion, NY 14411.
