Audrey Ellen Steingasser

Obituary of Audrey Ellen Steingasser (MIDDLEPORT) Audrey E. Steingasser age 97, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2021 at her home in Middleport. Audrey was born July 17, 1923, in Niagara Falls, NY to Blanch Irene (Culverwell) and Alexander Burt Clark. She married Wilfred O. Money, widowed, 1 child; Sunne Lou. Married Lawrence (AKA Jim) J. Steingasser 3 children; Barbara, Patricia and Lawrence, Jr. She is preceded in death by husband, Lawrence Steingasser; daughter, Patricia (Steingasser) Kinser and son, Lawrence J. Steingasser, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Sunne Lou Money Conley, Barbara Steingasser (James) Rubin; 11 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Audrey moved from New York to California in 1961 where she spent many happy years experiencing the wonders of the west coast from Mexico to Canada. Audrey worked as a beautician for 25 years in both New York and California. After husband, Jim retired they enjoyed traveling in their RV and seeing much of the U.S. before settling in Florida. Audrey was a lifelong member of the Methodist church and was active in the church wherever she lived. She has served as Sunday School superintend and teacher, was a member of the Women’s Society and volunteered in the food pantry. She was a Girl Scout leader and volunteered with Hospice for 5 years. Audrey was much loved and will be missed. Family and friends are invited to attend Audrey’s Memorial Service, SATURDAY MARCH 20th in the Middleport United Methodist Church beginning at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Please note the church will be operating at 50% occupancy and face masks/covering are mandatory and social distancing guidelines will be enforced.
