Obituary of Beatrice E. Childs Beatrice E. Childs of Middleport passed away Sunday evening, October 7, 2012 at the Medina Memorial Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Childs was born in Romulus, New York on March 28, 1923 daughter of the late Fred and Alma (Appleton) Vaughn.
She was a homemaker and she and her husband Perry C. Childs were married August 29, 1941.
Mrs. Childs enjoyed her family, baking and reading and word search puzzles and she also enjoyed watching cardinals and collected cardinal nic-nacs.
She was a member for over 50 years of the Handcrafters Home Bureau and she was also a member of the Middleport Senior Citizens.
She was predecesed by her husband Perry C. Childs in 2002 and by her siblings James Vaughn, Mary Smith, Wilma Taylor, Eva Parker, Pvt. Robert Vaughn, George Vaughn, Mabel Dixon, Pearl Vaughn and Myron Vaughn.
She is survived by a daughter Darlene ( Brent) Ginty of Middleport and a son Keith E. Childs of Phelps, NY., four grandsons Eric (Stacey) Dodge of Middleport, Craig (Hollie) Dodge of New Jersey, Jason Dodge and Regan Ginty both of Middleport.
Also survivign are 10 great grandchildren Alyssa Dodge, Austin Dodge, Hannah Dodge, Mikayla Dodge, Evan Dodge, Colin Dodge, Tanner Dodge, Mackenzie Dodge, Hailey Dodge and Curtis Rucker, a brother Donald (Joan) Vaughn and a sister Alice Zacher all of Medina, a brother-in-law Donald Dixon and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport where funeral services will follow at 3:00PM with the Rev. Ray Noel officiating.
Burial in Hartland Central Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorials to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the Childs family.
