Obituary of Benjamin Dennis Kirby (ALBION)
Benjamin Dennis Kirby, age 21, died suddenly 11/6/2017 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born 12/9/1995 in Brockport to Dennis and Wendy Kirby and had lived in this area all of his life. Ben graduated from Albion Central School in 2014 in the top 10 of his class and was active in many school activities to include; band, chorus, marching band, National Honor Society, drama club, tennis and soccer as well as 4-H. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, The Order of the Arrow and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was in his senior year at RIT studying software development. Ben was kind, caring, always willing to help someone else, and lived his life by the words of the Boy Scout Law. He was a self-proclaimed nerd and while quiet and studious, was well known and liked by so many friends...many of whom described him as, “…just a good boy.” He was truly a special friend to all. Benjamin was predeceased by his grandparents: Francis and Janet Kirby. He is survived by his parents: Dennis and Wendy Kirby, brothers and sisters: Lauren Kirby, Brodie (Andrea) Kirby, Jeremy (Joisanna) Kirby, Aaron Kirby, Christina (William) Neely, his grandparents: David and Nancy Scheffinger, nephews: Evan, Nathan, Anden, Broden, Teigen and Bradley (BDK2) Kirby, niece: Serenity Neely as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of close friends. There will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to help celebrate Ben’s life SATURDAY 10 a.m. in the Albion First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Mt. Albion Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his grandparents.
