Obituary of Bernice M. Kubatek .Bernice M. Kubatek Formerly of Middleport passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina, NY.
Mrs. Kubatek was born in Middleport on September 30, 1917 daughter of the late Phillip and Edith (Schrader) McCabe.
She was a homemaker who has lived in Middleport all of her life, enjoyed her family and was a member of St. Stephen's RC Church in Middleport.
She and her husband Francis L. Kubatek were married October 18, 1941 and he predeceased her in 2010. She was also predeceased by a brother Emmit McCabe.
Mrs. Kubatek is survived by two daughters Karen (Dennis) McAvoy of Middleport and Nancy (Jack) Yardman of Batavia, three grandchildren Jennifer (Justin) Bownds of Rhode Island, Tammy (Mark) Dedman of Batavia and Scott (Ann) Pasnik of Medina.
Also surviving are five great grandchildren, Jack Bownds, Allyson Bownds, Madison Dedman, Brianna Pasnik and Ryan Pasnik, three sisters-in-law Bernice Sheldon, Florence Andrews, Helen Mauragis all of Medina and a brother-in-law Stanly Kubatek of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport.
Members of Holy Trinity Parish will hold a Vigil Service Tuesday at 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Parish/St.Stephen's Church, 21 Vernon St., Middleport where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls.
Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
