Obituary of Betty Chapman Betty M. Chapman, age 89 of S. Clinton Street, died at her residence 8/4/2013. She was born 12/25/1923 in W. Barre to Russell and Ina (Kempton) Chapman and was a lifetime resident of this area. Betty was a member of the Albion First United Methodist Church, and was an Elementary Teacher in the Lockport Central Schools for many years, retiring in 1979. She was past President of the Lockport Teachers Union and a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Chapman was predeceased by her parents, her sister: Dorothy Noel, and her niece Delores Murphy. She is survived by nieces: Diane(Robert)Simpson of Port Orchard, WA, Donna(James)Cain of Monmouth, OR and many cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as a good friend; Larie Vagg. There were no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Betty's Memorial Service which will be held SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2013 in the Albion First United Methodist Church beginning at 2 p.m. Interment was in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Church. Visitation
