Bonnie E. Bakeman

(Medina)  Bonnie E. Bakeman age 70, passed away November 8, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital following a short illness.  She was born August 28, 1952 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Julian and Evelyn (Thomas Kolb) Bertrand and had lived in this area most of her life.

Bonnie was a member of the Junior Wilson Sportsmen’s Club where she bartended for many years and as of late, worked as a bar steward.  She was also a member of the Butts-Clark Post #204 American Legion in Medina, VFW Post #1483 in Medina and VFW Post #4635 in Albion.

Bonnie was predeceased by her companion Cliff Fidanza.

She is survived by her daughter Ellayne Venuto; her sons Steven (Trishia) Medema, Thomas Medema; grandchildren Elizabeth Medema, Emily (Devin) Sevor, Zachary Venuto, Alex Venuto; great-granddaughter Baylee Cox; sister Jessie Crobaugh; brothers Douglas Bertrand, Scott Kolb as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Memorials may be made to P.A.W.S., 3371 Gaines Basin Rd., Albion NY 14411.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. Albion.
