Burley H. Friend

Obituary of Burley H. Friend Burley H. Friend Jr., age 75 of Lockport, entered into rest on Monday, April 16, 2018 at his home. Born August 4, 1942 in Sutton, West Virginia, Burley is the son of the late: Burley H. and Geneva (Carpenter) Friend Sr. Burley served his county in the United States Army from 1964 until 1970. He is married to Chong (Yim) Friend. Burley had worked at General Motors in Lockport until 1999, first as a welder and then as a janitor. He enjoyed building and fixing everything. Surviving Burley is his wife, Chong Friend; son, Dan Friend and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Friend. He is also survived by siblings: Sara Friend, Norma Friend and Ernest (Eleanor) Friend. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 4 pm until 6 pm. There will be a memorial services and military honors held at 6 pm.
