Obituary of Burnell Bingaman (ALBION) Burnell “Bing” Bingaman, age 90, died January 1, 2019 in his home following a brief illness. He was born in Penn's Creek, PA to Dallas and Dorothy (Bowersox) Bingaman and had lived in this area most of his life. Bing was a United States Army veteran having served in the 5th Infantry during the Korean War building pontoon bridges near the 38th parallel near Uijeonbu. He was a member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion and the Albion VFW. Bing worked at Hunt Foods and retired as the Superintendent of the Orleans County Building and Grounds in 1992. He was always fixing things and doing maintenance work on his properties following his retirement. Mr. Bingaman was predeceased by his wife Lucy and siblings: Eugene, Stanley, and Jeanette Bingaman as well as Arlene Felmey. He is survived by a sister-in-law: Hazel Bingaman, nieces in PA: Connie (Wayne) Biggians, Annette (Keith) Nyman, Linda (Gary) Chambers, Carol (Donald) Botiger, nieces in NY: Barbara Sargent, Gail Vagatto, Carolyn Nenni, great niece: Susan Proietty, as well as close friend and neighbor: Scott (Toni) Bradshaw. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, SUNDAY ONLY from 4-6 p.m. and again at St. Paul’s Reformed Church, 127 W. Walnut St., Beavertown, PA, 17813 on TUESDAY from 1-2 p.m. where Bing’s Funeral Service will be held in the church beginning at 2 p.m. Interment with military honors will be held in Troxelville Union Cemetery.
