Carl Laubacher Sr.

Obituary of Carl Laubacher Sr. Albion: Carl J. Laubacher Sr. age 76, died suddenly April 9, 2015. He was born August 6, 1938 in Buffalo, NY a son of the late Joseph and Rena (Bistoff) Laubacher. Carl was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church, serving as an usher for over 35 years and also taught Pre-Cana for several years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Joan of Arc Assembly 4th Degree, where he was Past Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator and Trustee. Carl also served as past Chairman, Co-Chairman and 4H Leader for the Orleans County 4H Fair. After retiring from Delco-Valeo, Carl enjoyed playing the Lottery, gardening, reading, researching family genealogy and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
He was predeceased by his brother Joel. Carl is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna (Stahl) Laubacher; 6 children, Andrew (Tayna) Laubacher of Lackawanna, NY, Denise Laubacher of LasVegas, NV, Kathleen Laubacher-Ashbery of Brockport, NY, Marsha (Gordon) Hutchinson of Lancaster, NY, Judith (Al) Gott of Houston, TX, Carl J. (Allison) Laubacher Jr. of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher Jameson, Grace, Megan Timmerman, Catherine Ashbery, Sarah (Michael) Laubacher-Tower, Brooklyn Laubacher; step-grandchildren, Jesse, Nathan Hutchinson, Jennifer, Brandon Gott, James, Kenneth Ashbery; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Mackenzie, Caiden, Parker Tower; brothers, Ken (Sue) Laubacher of Hilton, NY, Bruce (Marilyn) Laubacher of Marietta, NY, Dale (Wes Hanson) Laubacher of Barre, NY, sister, Connie (Joe) Caprio of Akron, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue, Albion, Sunday from 2:00-5:00 and Monday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00. Carl's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church, Tuesday at 11:00am. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc. Visitation
