Obituary of Carol E. Bayne Carol E. Bayne of Gasport passed away Monday March 18, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Bayne was born in Medina, NY on February 15, 1944 daughter of the late Homer and Edna (Beaver) Bayne. She grew up in Lyndonville, graduated from Lyndonville High School and moved to Gasport in l977. She was employed at Harrison Radiator Division in Lockport retiring after several years of service and she was a member of UAW Travel Club. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Smith in l988. Mrs. Bayne is survived by seven children Jeffrey Smith of Gasport, Elizabeth (Christopher) Wagner of Middleport, James Smith of Gasport, Joseph Smith of Middleport, John Smith, Brian Smith and Paul Smith all of Gasport. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother Marion (Robin) Bayne of Lyndonville. Friends may call Thursday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7PM to 9PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. John Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. A Gathering at the Hartland Bible Church will be held immediately following services at the funeral home.
