Carol N. Farkas

Barker: Carol N. Farkas, age 66, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on April 15, 2025. She was born May, 10, 1958 in Ithaca, NY to the late Carl and Ann(Tierney) Nedrow.

Carol was an exceptional quilter, creating countless quilts and other items for many people. She loved flowers of all kinds, but was very fond of the tulips that would grow every year around the yard. Carol was an active member of the Quilters guild in Batavia, Johnson's Creek Seniors, and Women of the Church at County Line Country Church. She spent many hours donating homemade baby quilts and dog beds, to name a few. Carol always offered a smile, hug, or pleasant conversation to anyone.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Noralee Davis, grandson, Nathan Davis, grandparents, Jack and Rose Tierney and Dave and Lina Nedrow.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Michael, sons, Thomas M. (Katie) Farkas, Jacob E. Farkas, grandchildren Noralee and Connor Farkas, Emma Abare, sisters, Abby (Dave) Hatfield, Sherry Nedrow, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Carol's family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home 4521 Main St. Gasport, NY 14067 on Friday, April 18th from 4:00-7:00pm. Her memorial service will be held at the County Line Country Church 1385 County Line Rd, Barker, NY 14012 on Saturday, April 19th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Somerset Cemetery in Barker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol's name may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.
