Caroline M. Cusick

Obituary of Caroline M. Cusick Caroline M. Cusick passed away June 1, 2018, at the Villages of Orleans in Albion, NY. She was born June 18, 1917 in Montedoro, Sicily, the daughter of Andrea and Josephine Galanti. She emigrated with her family to the US when she was 3 years old. Caroline grew up in Leroy, NY and in her 20’s moved to Wellsville, NY with her sister to establish a cosmetology business. She married Richard P. Cusick of Wellsville in 1949. In the 1960’s Caroline and Richard moved to California for several years before returning to Wellsville and later relocating to Rochester, NY. She was employed as a sales associate at Peck & Peck, McCurdys and later at B. Formans in Rochester, NY. Caroline had an outgoing and gregarious personality and was active in St. Theodore’s Catholic Church in Gates for many years. She resided in Albion, NY for the past 7 years at the Cloverhill Adult Residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard in 1979; her sister Philomena in 2005; her brother James in 1996. She is survived by 3 nieces, Jo Ann Galanti of North Hollywood, California; Loretta Dunne of Grants Pass, Oregon; Diana Coggin of Plymouth, Minnesota and 3 nephews: Andy Galanti of Fresno, California; Henry Jakubowski of St. Cloud, Minnesota and Walter Jakubowski of Albion, NY. A graveside service will be performed at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wellsville, NY on August 4th at 11:00am.
