Obituary of Catherine L. Greene Albion, NY: Catherine “Cathy” L. Greene, age 64 passed away peacefully at her home on December 16, 2017. She was born August 14, 1953 in Medina, NY to the late Frederick and Willie (Kleindt) Troicke. Cathy was very artistic in many ways. She enjoyed painting, crafts and was also a great musician. In the 1970’s she was one of 12 girls picked from the United States to be a representative in Austria for the International Girl Guide Jamboree. She also attended the Girl Scouts Pow Wow in Wyoming and the United Nations. Cathy will be most remembered for her time as a stay at home mom and her loving devotion to her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2011, whom she married on February 20th, 1976. Also predeceasing her was her mother and father-in-law, Evie and Tom Greene. Cathy was a devoted mother to her daughters, Rebekah Greene, Rachel (Robert) Welch, and Ruth Greene. Also surviving are her sisters, Dorathea Troicke, Pauline (Brian) Burnes, Fredericka Connor, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY on Thursday, December 21 from 4:30-6:30pm where her Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:30pm. Family and friends are encouraged to think of memories of Cathy to share at the service. Interment will take place privately and at the convenience of the family.
