Catherine E. Hallifax

Obituary of Catherine E. Hallifax Lyndonville: Catherine E. “Cathy” Hallifax, age 65, passed away after a long illness on February 4, 2018. She was born December 25, 1952 in New Lexington, OH to the late Robert and Freda (Drennen) Rushing and would move to the area in 1970. Cathy worked for many years as an LPN with Genesee-Orleans Homemakers. She was an active member of the Orleans Houndsman & Conservation Club. She enjoyed going to and judging coonhound shows across the state. Cathy loved listening to Luke Bryan and was loved by everyone that met her. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Tina Marie Rushing and sister, Beverly “Annie” Hernandez. Cathy is survived by her son Gary Weese Sr., companion of many years, Arnold Hallifax, special friends, James Akers, siblings, Rebecca (Kris Rock) Rushing, David (Dee Roberts) Rushing, Robert Rushing, Tommy (Sharon) Rushing, grandchildren, Gary Weese Jr., Zoey Marie Weese, Adam Weese, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Friday from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm where her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am. Interment will be held in Union Cemetery in Albion. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to C.O.V.A 239 South Main St. Albion, NY 14411.
