Cecilia Marie Lombardo

Pendleton: Cecilia Marie Lombardo, age 96, passed away peacefully with her daughter and son-in-law by her side on November 28, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born July 8, 1926 in Big Soldier, PA to the late Nicholas and Christina (Grasso) Colosanto and was a resident of the Pendleton area since the 1950’s.

Cecilia was a great cook and baker, operating a catering business with her sister Mary for many years. She had an eye for fashion and spent time working in the retail business as well. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, listening to country music and dancing. Cecilia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was also very welcoming to people in her neighborhood and willing to help in any way she could. Cecilia was an active member of the Wendelville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Lombardo, Sr., son, Anthony Lombardo, Jr., and several siblings.

Cecilia is survived by her children, Ronald (Susan) Lombardo, Jacqueline (Joseph) Laudico, daughter-in-law, Jane Lombardo, grandchildren, Scott (Amy) and Kevin Lombardo, Joseph (Heather) and Jessica Laudico, great-granddaughter, Miranda (Michael) Huber, great-great-granddaughter, Marlee Huber as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church in Pendleton at a later date. Interment will take place in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheektowaga, NY.

Memorial contributions in Cecilia’s name may be made to the Pendleton Lions Club 6570 Campbell Blvd, Pendleton, NY 14094.

Cecilia’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Holley, NY.
