Obituary of Charles H. Brandt Charles H. “Chuck” Brandt, age 96 of Lockport, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport. Born July 22, 1915 in Wilson, NY he was the son of the late Frank and Minnie (Israel) Brandt. Chuck married Frances (Hausman) January 15, 1938 in Cambria. Frances died July 8, 1986. He had worked at Harrison Radiator Division in Lockport as a Methods Operator. After retiring, he opened Charlie’s Antique Shop next to his home on Ridge Road. Chuck was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and Newfane Golden Agers where he enjoyed dancing and traveling. He was also a member of the Cambria Fire Company where he was honored for 68 years of active service. He is survived by his children: Judith Brandt and Larry Brandt both of Lockport and grandchild, Joshua (Leticia) Brandt of Berwyn, Illinois. Brother of the late Clarence (Rena) Brandt, Violet Schalck and Amy (Earl) Weaver. Chuck is also survived by nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 pm with the Reverend Wayne Jagow officiating.
