Obituary of Charles L. Buck (ALBION)
Charles L. Buck, age 94 formerly of Allen Road, died 11/29/13 in the Buffalo Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born 12/24/18 in Clarendon to Luther and Marion(Cooper)Buck and had lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Buck was a US Army Veteran of WWII and had been a P.O.W. in Germany for 27 ½ months. Charles was a member of the Sheret Post American Legion, the Albion Lodge BPOE #1006, and the Active Hose Co. #4 of the Albion Fire Department. Mr. Buck was an avid card player, an avid reader and also enjoyed travelling. Mr. Buck was predeceased by his wife Evelyn, a son: Gregory, 2 brothers: Donald and Gilbert and a step-brother: Henry Kimble. He is survived by his daughter: Susan(Brian)Bartlett of Waterport, 2 grandchildren: Amanda and Jacob, as well as several nieces and nephews. There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, TUESDAY 2 pm where Military Honors will be accorded following the service. Private interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Albion First Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Orleans. Visitation
