Charles A. Miller

Charles A. Miller, age 94, died September 22, 2022 in the Martin Linsen Hospice Residence after a short illness.  He was born March 21, 1928 in Albion to Emerson and Bertha (Towers) Miller and was a life-long resident of this area.

Charles was a former employee of the TJ Lipton Company and like many in the community, enjoyed his frequent gatherings at the Apollo for coffee.  He also enjoyed gardening, travelling to Glens Falls, farming, puttering around and his 1978 Fort LTD.

Mr. Miller was predeceased by his wife Florence, his brothers: Gordon and Arnold and his sister Betty.

He is survived by his sons: Franklin Miller and Frederick Miller both of Waterport, his sisters: Beverly Downey of Holley, Lois (Richard) Preston of Albion, his granddaughter: Sarah (John) Cassidy of Albion, 2 great grandchildren: Emily and Brayden, brother-in-law: Willis (Bonnie) Birch as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Wednesday, September 28th from 3-4pm where his Funeral Service will be held following visitation at 4pm.  Burial will be at the family’s convenience in Waterport Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Supportive Care of Orleans , 14080 NY-31, Albion, NY, 14411 or the American Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman St., Rochester, NY, 14620.
