Obituary of Charles A. Vick ALBION - Charles A Vick, 98, passed on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. He was born September 28,1919 in Albion, the third born of four sons of the late Ralph and Ethel (Nixon) Vick. Chuck was a graduate of Albion High School (Class of 1937) and attended the University of Rochester and Syracuse University before serving in the 8th Air Force in World War II. He was a member of a service squadron stationed at the Air Force Fighter Base in East Anglia, England for 3 years. He, with his father and brothers, owned and operated the Ralph J Vick and Sons farm machinery business for a number of years, then worked at Eastman Kodak Company until retiring in 1983. Chuck was a dedicated member of the Albion First United Methodist Church for most of his life, singing in the choir and holding many leadership positions. He was also an active participant in his Albion community, where he lived for 92 years. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great-uncle, he was a man of family and faith. Generous both in spirit and deed, his kindness impacted many and he was truly one of Christ’s faithful servants. His was a life well lived. Chuck was predeceased by his wife and soulmate Sara of 64 years and by his brothers Arnold, Howard,and Harold. Chuck is survived by his children, David (Deborah) Vick of Jacksonville, FL, Anne Neilans of Honeoye Falls, NY, Thomas (Dianne) Vick of Vancouver, WA; 8 grandchildren, David (Natalie) Vick, Erin (Bobby) Gerlach, Brian (Kim) Vick, all of Florida, Jamie Neilans, Mackenzie (Nathan) Bramble both of Honeoye Falls, Brody (Jina) Neilans of San Jose, CA, Brandon (Darci) Vick and Jennifer Vick of WA; 15 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ava and Emma Gerlach, Riley, Maggie and Jesse Vick, Austin Lloyd, Berkley and Carson Vick, Jace Neilans, Micah, Maddox and Bryce Bramble, Makena and Emma Vick, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
