Obituary of Cleo Dean Whiskey Joe Cain (ALBION)
Cleo Dean Cain of Medina, formerly of Albion, passed away Tuesday November 18, 2008 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home following a short illness. He was born September 5, 1930 in Basom to Cleo and Helen(Garrison)Cain. Mr. Cain was a US Army Veteran having joined in 1953 and serving in the Korean War. As a disable veteran, Cleo, (along with Frank Tower, Carl Boyle, and Ron Weaver,) helped start the Orleans Veteran Shuttle Bus Service which is a volunteer group of veterans that serves the local area. Mr. Cain worked hard his whole life as a self employed contractor and never punched a clock while raising a family of seven. He also worked for the Gypsum Board Plant. He loved fishing at Point Breeze as often as he could and many people will remember him fondly as 'Whiskey Joe.'
