Obituary of Corabell P. Morton Barre, NY: Corabell P. Morton, age 94, passed away peacefully at Unity Hospital at Parkridge on December 5, 2016. She was born in Albion, NY on January 27, 1922 to the late Curtis and Ruth Magdaline (Wetherbee) Parker and would remain in the Albion area her whole life. Corabell was a charter member of the Barre Fire Company Ladies Auxillary, the oldest member of Barre Center Presbyterian Church, a member of the Dutchcraft Camping Club, an active volunteer at Hospice of Orleans. Corabell received her LPN from Katherine McAuley School of Nursing in 1969 and would maintain her LPN status until her death. She also loved to bake and would bake cookies for anyone and everyone. Whenever anyone ever needed advice, Corabell was always willing to help with her endless wisdom. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold T. Morton, brother, Lee Parker, sister, Carol Milliken, and great-grandson, Nicholas Failla. Corabell is survived by her children; Laurie (Fran) Hillman, Rickie (Cindy) Morton, like a daughter; Betty (Dick) Connelly, grandchildren; Anthony Moley, Michelle (Glenn) Barlow, Denise (Robert) Failla, Jerilyn (John) Carney II, Mark (Linda) Hillman, Adam Wapniewski Morton, Melissa Morton, Jason (Nicole) Morton, Rickie (Tiffany) Morton, Lynn, Wapniewski, Steven Wapniewski, Michelle Wapniewski, great-grandchildren; Hayden, Kristopher, Johnnie, Jared, Bryeanna, Benjamin, James, Jaquan, Jacuueese, JR., Zakiiya, Eric, Brittany, Seth, great-great-grandchild; Xavier, several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. Her Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00am at Barre Center Presbyterian Church 4706 Oak Orchard Rd. Albion, NY 14411. Interment will follow in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
