Obituary of Craig A. Porter Holley: Craig A. Porter age 71, died May 6, 2014. Craig was born December 2, 1942 in Batavia a son of the late Duane and Dorothy (Schuler) Porter. He was a graduate of Elba High School and S.U.N.Y Brockport with a Bachelor's in Education. Mr. Porter taught Health and Physical Education at Kendall High School for 35 years retiring in 1998. He was instrumental in starting the Kendall Junior High Soccer program and had also coached Baseball, Girls Basketball, Soccer and Boys Volleyball. Craig was a charter member of the Kendall Lion's Club. Mr. Porter enjoyed spending time with his family, especially going to his grandchildren's sporting events.
He was predeceased by his wife Lynda in 2005, his daughter, Kymberly Porter, April 28, 2014, his brother, Kris (Lynda) Porter. He is survived by his children, Mark (Rose) Porter and Karen Porter, both of Holley; grandchildren, Jennifer and Lori McMillion, Joshua Porter; sister, Karen (Bruce) Vereecken; brothers, Kevin, Casey (Kim), Clay (Tonya), Keith; several nieces, nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Rte. 31, (W. Albion Rd.) Holley, Friday from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00, where Craig's Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 4:30. Interment will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Kendall. Memorials may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 3111 Winton Rd. S. Rochester NY 14623 or the American Cancer Society. Visitation
