Obituary of Danforth J. Thomas Albion: Danforth “Dan” J. Thomas, age 75, passed away on December 16, 2017 at his home. He was born January 23, 1942 in Rochester, NY to the late Danforth and Florence (Enderlin) Thomas. Dan worked for 23 years as a machinist at Rochester Products and was also captain of the Rochester Products Pistol Team. Dan was a member of the Albion Elks Lodge, B.P.O.E. #1006. In his spare time he enjoyed working on his computer and building his family tree website. He was an avid John Wayne and Scooby-Doo fan and enjoyed collecting their memorabilia as well. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn Marie Thomas, brother, David Thomas, sister-in-law, Gloria Thomas, son-in-law, Jim Lavin, and niece, Terri Hopper. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia, daughter, Lorrie Lavin of Medina, son, Steven Thomas of Albion, brothers, Dennis Thomas, Douglas (Anita) Thomas, grandchildren, Christine, Nikki, Patty, Josh, great-grandchildren, Cayleigh, Charlie, Lilyana, Cameron, Christian,Carter, Cayden, Gabriel, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, on Wednesday, December 20th from 4:00-7:00pm where his funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00am.
