Obituary of David E. Albone David E. Albone of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at Florida Hospital Oceanside Hospice Unit in Ormond Beach.
Mr. Albone was born in North Tonawanda on November 24, 1941 son of Bernard E. (Briggs) Albone and the late Everett Albone.
Mr. Albone served in the US Air Force for 27 years retiring in l985. He worked on the Air Force Shuttle since its inception. He served on several air force bases the last one being Vandenburg Air Force Base in California.
After his retirment from the air force he joined the American Red Cross and went to several disaster areas including 911 and several other areas where he was needed. He loved to help other people.
He was predeceased by a son Daniel Paul Albone.
He is survived by his wife Ann (Gaze) Albone of Florida, a daughter Linda Kay (Randy) Brett of Florida, a son Anthony David (Marci) Albone of Florida, his mother Bernard E. Albone of Medina, and three grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings Robert (Barbara) Albone of Middleport, Eugene Albone of Lockport and Darlene (James) Baker of Washington and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street Middleport, NY where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00PM.
Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the Albone family.
Burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
