Obituary of David Wayne Downs Barre: David Wayne Downs, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2017. He was born January 21, 1966 in Batavia to Irving and Judy Downs. David liked to work on cars whenever he could. He rebuilt many cars over the years and raced them at many local tracks, winning several races. He was a great mechanic and loved tinkering. David loved watching NASCAR and his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Sr. David was predeceased by his mother Judy. David is survived by his father, Irving, children, David Wayne Downs, Breanna Kathleen Downs, sister, Justine, girlfriend, Trudy Smith, friend, Jacob Sponangle, and many more friends. There are no prior calling hours. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
