Obituary of David R. Woodburn David R. Woodburn, age 59, of Newfane , went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born February 15, 1954 in Lockport, David is the son of the late: Robert and Audrey (Barker) Woodburn. David graduated from Newfane High School in 1972. He married Sandra Ferris August 29, 1981 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. David started working for NYSEG in Lockport in 1973 and retired in 2010 after 36 years. David was an active member of Ridgewood Bible Church and enjoyed going on missionary trips to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. His hobbies included woodworking, gardening and painting. David especially cherished spending time with his family. David is survived by his loving wife: Sandra Woodburn. Dear father of: Sarah (Joshua) Alberter of Newfane, Bryan (Allison) Woodburn of Middleport, Bethany (Jacob) Smith of Appleton and Jenna (Jeff) Carpenter of Newfane. Cherished grandfather of: Ashley, Payton, Danielle, Connor, Blake, Matthew and Landon. David is also survived by his twin sister: Donna (Gary) Augustine of Clarence and sister: Mary (Wayne) Sylvis of Lockport. Sister-in-law: Judy (Larry) Meyer of Medina. He was predeceased by two siblings: Margaret Amos and Barbara Rau. Several nieces and nephews also survive David. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Ridgewood Bible Church, 7073 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 4 pm til 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am from the church with the Reverend Dr. Charles Jennings officiating. Interment will be in Corwin Cemetery.
