Obituary of Deborah J. Smith Deborah J. Smith age 56 died unexpectedly on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital; she was surrounded by her family. She was born October 29, 1960 in Rochester, a daughter of the late James and Beverly (McCarthy) Lutz and had lived in this area all of her life. Deborah was a member of the New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Brockport. She loved making blankets and corn bags at Christmas and loved animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Deborah is survived by her husband Alan, of 37 years; her daughters Melissa Hale, Christina Lonthair, Mary Kuhn, Jennifer Bradley; 11 grandchildren; her brother James (Kelly) Lutz; sisters Kimberly Watkins, Dorothy Lutz and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31 Holley on Monday 1-3 & 6-8. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11am at the New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, 7397 W. Ridge Rd. Brockport NY 14420. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Orleans.
