Obituary of Deborah L. Whittier Albion: Deborah L. Whittier age 42, died July 29, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 22, 1972 in Albion. Debbie was employed for 13 years at Genesee-Orleans Community Action as the Director of the Community Center in Holley and then was a Career Transitions Specialist for the Iroquois Job Corp. Debbie was always volunteering and helping others. She enjoyed singing, camping but received the most joy attending her son Taylor's gigs and Taylor's and Shawn's sporting events.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Flora Wooten; brother, Jonathan L. Grove. She is survived by her sons, Taylor and Shawn both of Albion; her mother, Helen Drake of Albion; brother, David (Michele) Wooten of Port Allegany PA. significant other, Dan Huey; granddaughter, Willow Jane Monacelli; step-daughters, Amanda Monacelli, Haley Huey, Ali Huey all of Albion; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue Albion, Monday August 4, from 12:00-1:00, where her Funeral Service will follow at 1:00. Interment will be at Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans or the American Cancer Society. Visitation
