Deforest Bragg

(Brockport) Deforest Bragg age 93, passed away March 7, 2025 at his home. He was born March 2, 1932 in Holley, a son of the late Charles and Hattie Bragg and had lived in the area all of his life.

Deforest enjoyed mowing, watching birds and wintering in Florida with his wife Julia.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Julia and his son Duane Bragg.

He is survived by his children Becky (Mike) Turcotte, Ronald (Erwina) Bragg, Doug Bragg, Darrin Bragg, Cheryl Bragg; grandchildren James (Kelly) Bragg, Jenny Ziminski, Paula (Matthew) Bertram, Mathew (Jennifer) Turcotte, Shelby Shampoe, Brandon Shampoe as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

His Memorial Service will be held Friday March 14th at 11:00am at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, 16650 State Route 31, Holley. Burial will be in N. Byron Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
