Obituary of Delmar Robert Ranney Delmar Robert Ranney, age 87, formerly of Gasport, entered into rest on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Absolut Care of Gasport. Born March 31, 1927 in Alden, NY, Delmar is the son of the late Bert D. and Dorothy (Nerber) Ranney. Delmar served his county in the Army as a Railway brakeman from April 30, 1946 until January 13, 1947. He married Jean D. Bozzard June 6, 1951 in Hunt’s Corners Baptist Church. Jean died May 8, 2012. He had worked as a produce manager at ACME in Lockport until retiring. Delmar had lived in Lockport since 2012, previously of Akron Road. Surviving Delmar are his brothers: Paul Ranney of Lockport, David (Joanne) Ranney of Akron, Robert (Ellen) Ranney of Lockport and Melvin Ranney of Middleport. Delmar was predeceased by his wife, Jean and three brothers: Donald, Aubrey and Carlton Ranney. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 10 am until 12 noon. Funeral Services will be held immediately following visitation with the Reverend Rodney Klingzing officiating. Burial will be Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY.
