Obituary of Delores Jean Kujaneck (ALBION)
D. Jean Kujaneck, age 75 of Eagle Harbor Road, died unexpectedly 10/9/2013 in Buffalo General Hospital. She was born 6/1/1938 in the Town of Barre to Zigmont and Gertrude(Wildschutz)Baskevich and was a lifetime resident of this area. While growing up, music became a major part of her life as she served as an accompanist for the various chorus groups in school. Jean's love of music, in particular the piano, remained with her throughout her life as she served as the accompanist for the Albion Middle School Chorus. She served as Elder, Choir member, and accompanist for many years at Barre Center Presbyterian Church where she was also a member of the True Blue Ladies Aid Group. She was a member of the Next Steps of Orleans Ministries where she often served as the accompanist for the worship services as well. Jean loved any kind of family gathering. She was the "rock" of her family and would let everyone know that her grandchildren were her pride and joy. As a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Jean ALWAYS had a smile on her face. Mrs. Kujaneck was predeceased by her son Michael Rivere and her sister Magdaline Johnston. She is survived her husband of 36 years, (whom she loved with all her heart,) Curtis, her sons: Robert(Weiding)Kaiser of WI, Andrew Kujaneck of GA, C. Allan(Tina)Kujaneck of GA, daughters: Robin Fisher of Medina, Catherine(Jerry)Adams of Waterport, Virginia(Gary)Youngblood of AZ, Mary(Jesse)Richey of AL, her sister: Shirley(Charlie)Walter of Albion, 23 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Jean's Memorial Service at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Avenue-Albion, SATURDAY at 2 p.m. Interment in Mt. Albion Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Next Steps of Orleans Ministries, 243 S. Main St., Albion, NY 14411.
