Obituary of Denver Lee Weese Denver Lee "Old Man" Weese, 65, of Albion, NY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the Rochester General Hospital.
Born on October 13, 1945 in Jerryville, WV, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Olive H. (Starcher) Weese.
On July 18, 1967, he married the former Elizabeth Monagan, together they lived in the Eagle Harbor area for over 40 years. He was employed as a assembler for the former Cook Furniture Co. of Medina.
He was a avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, hunting, and gardening.
Denver is survived by his wife of 44years,Elizabeth M. Weese, his children: Deborah A. (Jerry) Stanton of Albion, John S. Weese of Medina, Melvin M. Weese of Buffalo, Henry L. Weese of Holley and many other adopted children. Two grandchildren, Dakota Ray and Atisha E.M. Stanton. Nine siblings: Danny (Evelyn) Weese of Albion, Dencil (Erma) Weese of Waterport, Dayton (Charlene) Weese of Albion, David (Cathy) Weese of Medina, Douglas Weese of Albion, Donny Weese of Lyndonville, Dalmas (Collen) Weese of Albion, Joann (Doug) Keiffer of Medina, and Jakie (Kenny) Davis of Carlton. Also survived by lots of cousins, nieces, nephews and great- nieces and nephews and a lot of good friends that were considered family. He was predeceased by a brother Harry Weese; Sisters, Marylou Weese and Marlene Weese; in-laws, James and Anna Monagan, Harry Monagan and Waker Capstick.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, July 25, 2011, from 1 PM-2PM at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll St, Albion, NY, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Stanley A. Thurber officiating. Burial will be in Mount Albion Cemetery.
