Derek Sevor

Holley: Derek Sevor, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2022. He was born October 16, 1986 in Brockport to David and Terri Sevor.

Derek could brighten up any room, the loudest and funniest guy there. He had great stories and would often break the awkward silence with a quick joke. Music was such an important part of his life and he could find the perfect song for any occasion. Derek was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan, attending games frequently with his friends. His favorite time was with his wife and family, especially his two children, Charlotte and Sullivan.

Derek was predeceased by his uncle, Tim Adams, mother-in-law, Penthea Curtis, maternal grandfather, Brian Adams, and grandfather-in-law, Herbert Merkley.

Derek is survived by his wife of 7 years, Cortney, children, Charlotte and Sullivan, parents, David and Terri Sevor, siblings, Jarod (Katie Moore) Sevor, Taylor (Justin) Black, maternal grandmother, Judith (Don) Badger, paternal grandparents, Louis and Gail Sevor, father-in-law, George (Annette) Curtis, sisters-in-law, Jen Curtis, Sara Cinotti, brother-in-law, George Curtis Jr., grandparents-in-law, Judith and George Curtis and Dora Merkley, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 16650 State Route 31 Holley, NY 14470 on Friday, June 10th from 4:00-7:00pm.

Memorial contributions in Derek’s name may be made to the family, specifically to his children, Charlotte and Sullivan.
