Obituary of Dominic P. Terra (ALBION)
Dominic P. Terra, age 89 of W. Park St., died October 30, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 18, 1927 in Albion to Bernardino and Erma(Passarell/Hewitt)Terra and was a life-long resident of this area. Dom was a retired construction worker with the Rochester Laborer’s Union, a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus-3rd Degree, and a member of the Albion Fire Department Hook and Ladder Company. In addition to being an avid bowler, he played Semi-Pro football for the Medina MACS in the 1950s, was a coach for the Pop Warner Football League, and was a life-long NY Yankees fan and season ticket holder for the Buffalo Bills. Mr. Terra was predeceased by his parents, a brother Albert Terra and his grandson Liam David Terra. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marlene DiPalma Terra, daughter: Karen(Bill Barrett)Terra and grandson Isaiah Terra Barrett of CA, son: David(Carrie)Terra of Albion, his brother: Guy Terra of Albion, and special nieces: Erica DiPalma Shurtz and Heather DiPalma Coughlin. There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Dominic’s Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church, Albion, SATURDAY NOVEMBER 19th beginning at 10am. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY, 14411 or Genesee-Orleans Ministry of Concern, 121 N.
