Obituary of Donald B. Auman ( Barre)
Donald Billett Auman died April 20,2013 at the age of 84. He was born August 11, 1928 in Niagara Falls, New York to Margaret Billett and Donald S. Auman. He was a graduate of LaSalle High School in Niagara Falls. Mr. Auman joined the Air Force and served in the Korean War. He joined the Mason's in 1973 and became Master of Cataract Lodge #295 F and AM of Middleport in 1978. He remained active with the Mason's until his recent illness. Mr. Auman was an avid Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan! Donald joined the Middleport United Methodist Church and was a member until his death. Mr. Auman was employed by Harrison Radiator in Lockport from 1962 to 1992 when he retired and shortly thereafter, moved to Barre Center, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Donald Auman, sister, Dorothy Auman, niece Barbara Stevenson and other family members. Mr. Auman is survived by his wife Alice Baker Cliff Auman, his children Debra (Terry) Crapanzano of Hammond, LA; Denise (Jeff) McDonald of Bay St. Louis, MS; Donna Auman of Middleport, NY, Michael L Cliff of Albion, NY, and his sister, Betty Hayes of Lockport, NY. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, three great-children as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Donald's Memorial Service at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, THURSDAY 2 p.m. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery-Holley with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Middleport United Methodist Church or Cataract Lodge # 295 F & AM in his name. Visitation
