Obituary of Donald Stirk (Albion) Donald A. Stirk age 71 died October 16, 2014 at Rochester General Hospital. He was born February 28, 1943 in Albion, a son of the late Donald L. and Yolanda (Acri) Stirk and had lived in this area all of his life. Don had served in the US Army from 1966-1968. He was a member of the Albion Sheret Post #35 American Legion, VFW Post #202 of Holley, Masonic Renovation Lodge #97 F&AM, Albion Sportsman Club, Albion Elks Club, Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph's Church and was a life member of the Archers Club. Don was a retiree of GM/Delco in Rochester where he worked for over 38years. He loved working on his old cars, gardening and social gathering with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Mary of 45 years; his daughter Kelly (Mike) Grey of St. Petersburg FL; his son Donald A. Stirk of Batavia; sisters Eileen (Alex) Sorochty of Albion, Gloria (Peter) Monacelli of Rochester; brothers-in-law Charles (Michelle) Sheelar, Adam (Shirley) Sheelar; sisters-in-law Jean (Dave) Weatherbee, Judy Sheelar; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Monday 4-7. His Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at Holy Family Parish at 10:00am. Interment with Full Military Honors will be at Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Masonic Medical Research Center, 2150 Bleecker St. Utica NY 13501. Visitation
