Obituary of Donald G. Weese .Donald G. Weese, age 86 of Middleport, NY passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Marie A. Weese. They were married on April 21, 1951 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Middleport. He is also preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Iola Weese. Donald was born in March 14, 1929 in Oakfield, N. Y. Donald served in the US Army from l947-1948 and also in the US Marine Corp from l951-l954. Donald was employed at Harrison Radiator Division of GMC in Lockport for 39 years retiring in l992. This year marks 60 years as a member of the Middleport Fire Company, serving as past President, past Secretary and past Captain. He dedicated most of his life to this organization and was proud to be a member. He also served as past President of the Niagara County Fireman Association and he was Chairman of the Burn Treatment Center of Buffalo, NY. He was also a member of Clute-Phillips American Legion Post # 938 in Middleport. Donald is survived by his children Linda (Michael) Simpson of Florida, David (Angela) Weese of Lockport, Patricia Weese of Middleport and Carol (Weese) Birch of Florida. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, other relatives, nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Richard Allis officiating. Members of Clute-Phillips American Legion Post #938 will meet at the funeral home Thursday at 7:00PM. Members of the Middleport Fire Company will meet at the funeral home Thursday evening at 7:15PM. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Middleport.
