Obituary of Donato Antonio DiPaolo Donato “Tony” Antonio DiPaolo, age 77, of Lockport, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born July 10, 1938 in Roccamorice, Italy, Tony is the son of Bartolomeo and Lucia (DiNardo) DiPaolo. Tony married Irene “Dawn” Tanner December 5, 1959 at St. Anthony’s Church in Lockport. He worked for Upson, Domtar and Niagara Fiber Board as a supervisor. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed hunting, gardening, tractors, making wine and food. Tony attended Hess Road Wesleyan Church. Surviving is his wife, Irene “Dawn” DiPaolo; children: Denise (Tony) Wagner, Daniel DiPaolo, Lisa (Dan) Lewandowski and Paula (Rob) Sinnott. Grandfather of: David, Laura (Brandon), Caitlin (Alex), Hannah, Alora, Gabby, Madison, Tanner, Dylan and Logan. Great grandfather of: Olivia, Abigail and EmmaLyn. Brother of: Anna D’Aluisio, Livia DeRenzo, Maria Rosati, Elcina Miller, Santino DiPaolo and Ettorino DiPaolo. He was predeceased by a sister: Concetta DiGiovanni. Tony is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
